Skin Quality: improving skin quality over time

A global approach for brighter, more hydrated and firmer skin

Skin ageing is not limited to the appearance of wrinkles. Over time, the skin may gradually lose its radiance, hydration, firmness and evenness.

Sun exposure, pollution, stress, smoking, hormonal changes and the natural ageing process can also affect skin quality.

In Paris, Dr Thibault Trévidic offers a personalised approach to Skin Quality treatments. The goal is not to change facial volumes or freeze expressions, but to improve the skin itself: its radiance, suppleness, hydration and tone.

Which treatments can improve skin quality?

Several approaches may be proposed, either alone or in combination, depending on each patient’s needs.

Radiesse® and collagen biostimulation

Radiesse® is a biostimulation treatment that may be used to improve skin quality and progressively support collagen production.

It is particularly suitable for patients who wish to improve skin firmness, tone and structure, without seeking a significant change in facial features.

Skinboosters

Skinboosters are injectable treatments based on lightly volumising hyaluronic acid. Their main objective is to improve deep hydration, skin suppleness and radiance.

They may be indicated when the skin appears dehydrated, dull, less elastic or slightly crepey.

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are used in aesthetic medicine to support skin regeneration and gradually improve skin quality.

They may be proposed in certain indications to support hydration, elasticity and the overall appearance of the skin, particularly when the desired result is progressive and natural.

Microneedling

Microneedling involves creating controlled micro-stimulations on the surface of the skin to activate the skin’s natural repair mechanisms.

It may help improve skin texture, radiance, the appearance of pores, certain irregularities and overall skin quality.

What is the difference between Skin Quality treatments and dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are mainly used to restore volume or correct hollow areas. Skin Quality treatments, on the other hand, target the quality of the skin itself: hydration, radiance, texture, tone and firmness.

Do Skin Quality treatments change facial features?

No. Their purpose is not to transform the face, but to gradually improve skin quality for a fresher, brighter and more natural result.

Which treatment should I choose between Radiesse®, skinboosters, polynucleotides and microneedling?

The choice depends on skin quality, the patient’s expectations and the medical indication. A consultation allows the most appropriate protocol to be defined.

Can several Skin Quality treatments be combined?

Yes, certain treatments may be combined in a personalised protocol. The combination always depends on the skin’s needs, the desired treatment rhythm and the medical assessment.

When can results be seen?

Results vary depending on the treatment chosen. Some effects, such as improved hydration or radiance, may appear gradually within days or weeks. Biostimulation treatments often require more time, as they rely on progressive improvement in skin quality.
